In blog post #9 I recommended Ken Robinson´s TEDtalk. Not only because what he says is worth listening to but also how he says it. Same goes for Brené Brown in talking about the power of vulnerability in a, to me, entertaining way.
To me, what they have in common, is their elaboration on human potentials und what it needs to uncover them. Of course, being part of a research project called Educating Future Change Agents that´s quite of my interest. Finally, being vulnerable has to do with be willing to dare, which also implies to be willing of being wrong. We don´t want the “wrong” things to happen, though. However, what we know by now is that how we are treating the planet and therefore ultimately ourselves is not “right” neither. So, what we need is change, and agents of change. Who are willing to do things differently. So maybe we should not talk about doing things right or wrong. Maybe we all should just dare a little bit more, embracing vulnerability?
A sentence that accompanies me since the age of 18, when I copied it from a friend´s book:
“What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?”
I have dreams. What about you? I´d be very interested in hearing your answers. If you feel like it, feel free to share them with me: connect@thereskonrad.org.
An invitation to DREAM OUT LOUD! What do you have to loose?
